Skirting Board & Architrave Reviews — What Our Customers Say

I don't often do this, but when I was looking for skirting online I found Metres Direct offering the pine skirting that I wanted for half the price I found in some places. I went for the pre-primed pine and the quality was spot on. Good quality, pine with only one or two really small knots, and dimensionally stable with no warping, bowing, twisting or crooking. I also had to contact the company about an error I made with the order and they were really friendly and helpful and refunded an item I'd ordered by mistake straight away. Highly recommended!

Excellent service, very pleased with the products and the service. The delivery was excellent too, the driver called me an hour before and was on time, very pleased. I would definitely recommend this company.

Great service from Metres Direct. I've ordered from them a few times over the years and never had any issues. Most recently, they helped resolve a profile mismatch quickly and improved the lead time when I needed additional lengths urgently. Responsive, helpful, and professional throughout. Highly recommend.

I've used Meters Direct for years with various projects. They never failed to meet or exceed expectations. The quality is excellent for the price, the finish (primed) is also excellent, they need no prep when over painting. Once I mistakenly ordered from a competitor, and that highlighted how bad other companies can be.

I've worked with Joe for the last year on a very large project for the University of Oxford. I initially used his service for some very simple skirting, but after carrying it out near perfectly, I offered the whole project to him and the quality of skirting has been brilliant. We've made some beautiful oak mouldings and it's a credit to his team. Cheers Joe, and on to the next project...

Can I say thank you Metres Direct for the excellent service and for the quality of the skirting. Everything about the experience was first class, ordering, production, packaging and obviously the skirting itself. Thanks again for treating a small, first time customer with such professionalism.

The delivery didn't arrive within the promised timescale so when I called to complain Joe went above and beyond to get my order to me that day so my joiner could complete the work (despite my irate rants - sorry Joe!) Well done and I'm very happy with the finished result.

Extremely satisfied with the service from this company. The advice and support provided by Joe was incredibly useful which set my mind at peace when ordering skirting boards and archives for my house. Metres Direct offer a very personal service and offer a much needed voice to answer any questions. The boards I ordered were primed and arrived in super quick time as promised and I'm very happy with the products. Will definitely be recommending this company.

I recently bought several lengths of the 170mm MDF Victorian skirting. The product is a perfect compliment to the living room of my 1890's terrace. When I had some questions after the install, sales manager Joseph was very prompt, efficient and friendly in his reply. This is a good quality product and the service was excellent. Thank you very much!

I have used Metres Direct now through many DIY house renovations. The staff are always very knowledgeable with any queries and always happy to help if I have mucked up an order and need to change it. The products always arrive as ordered and in line with their estimated delivery times. An excellent company, that many others could learn from.

Purchased pine skirting boards and architrave after shopping around online. Excellent support after an error ordering online (forgot to add an item on the order and didn't want to pay twice for delivery). Super quick delivery, excellent packaging to avoid damage in transit and all pine boards were straight and blemish free. Will definitely order from them again.

I highly recommend Metres Direct, the products are made to order and distributed as soon as the order is manufactured and then delivered via next day delivery by DX delivery couriers.

Metres direct have supplied skirting boards and architrave for my extension. I found ordering and collection of it was very easy. The staff on collection were very helpful and polite. I would happily recommend this company.
